cloud/bmaas: do not start/recover agent on installed machines This prevents us from perpetually restarting machines (or otherwise attempting to get the agent running) on machines that have a 'fulfilled' installation request, ie. machines with a machine generation in their installation request/report tags. The recovery flow will still kick in when a new installation request comes in after a machine has been sucesffuly installed, and that will still cause a reboot loop (as even rebooting the machine does not allow us to start an agent anymore if it has been installed). But we'll fix that later. Our build environment is self-contained and requires only minimal host dependencies:
/dev/kvm (if you want to run tests).Our docs assume that Bazelisk is available as bazel on your PATH.
Refer to SETUP.md for detailed instructions.
Build CLI and node image:
bazel build //metropolis/cli/dbg //:launch -c dbg
Launch an ephemeral test node:
bazel test //:launch -c dbg --test_output=streamed
Run a kubectl command while the test is running:
bazel-bin/metropolis/cli/dbg/dbg_/dbg kubectl describe node
Run full test suite:
bazel test -c dbg //...
